How to switch from Pic-Time to Chromafolio
Most Pic-Time customers migrate in a single evening. Galleries and watermarks port cleanly; slideshow albums and active print orders are the two things to plan around.

Step-by-step migration
- 1
1. Export collections from Pic-Time
In Pic-Time, open each collection → Studio Tools → Export Originals. Download ZIPs to a local folder organized by client.
- 2
2. Sign up for Chromafolio free
Create your account, upload your logo, and pick a layout that matches Pic-Time's aesthetic (magazine or masonry work best for editorial-style delivery).
- 3
3. Upload and organize
Bulk-upload each ZIP into a new album. Set per-album covers so your gallery list mirrors the Pic-Time visual style your clients expect.
- 4
4. Match your Pic-Time brand settings
Copy watermark, color, and font settings. Chromafolio's custom branding matches Pic-Time's level of polish on every paid plan.
- 5
5. Resolve print orders and slideshows
Fulfill open print orders in Pic-Time before canceling. For slideshow albums (arriving on Chromafolio roadmap 2026), keep Pic-Time active short-term or deliver via video file.
- 6
6. Redirect your domain and update clients
Point your custom domain at Chromafolio and send clients the new URLs. We help set per-gallery 301 redirects to preserve inbound links.
Things to watch out for
- · Pic-Time slideshow albums don't have a direct equivalent yet — Chromafolio's slideshow feature is on the 2026 roadmap.
- · Active print orders must be fulfilled in Pic-Time first.
- · Pic-Time's editorial aesthetic uses specific templates; Chromafolio's magazine + masonry layouts get close, but the brand feel differs subtly.
