How to switch from ShootProof to Chromafolio
Switching from ShootProof to Chromafolio takes roughly a weekend. Galleries migrate cleanly; business-tool data (contracts, invoices) is archived as PDFs since Chromafolio's contracts/invoicing ship later in 2026.

Step-by-step migration
- 1
1. Export galleries from ShootProof
Open each event in ShootProof → Gallery Tools → Download Originals. Large catalogs can request bulk export via ShootProof support.
- 2
2. Archive contracts and invoices as PDFs
Export every signed contract and historical invoice as PDF from ShootProof's Business tab. Store them in your Chromafolio document library or external drive.
- 3
3. Set up Chromafolio
Sign up free, add your brand (logo, colors, custom domain), and reproduce your ShootProof watermark settings.
- 4
4. Upload galleries by client
Upload each ZIP by client or event. Chromafolio preserves folder structure so the visual organization you built in ShootProof carries over.
- 5
5. Redirect client links
Send a one-time email to clients with the new gallery URLs. If you used a custom domain on ShootProof, point it to Chromafolio and we help set per-gallery redirects.
- 6
6. Handle new business tools
Use Chromafolio's contract templates (free guide library) while our native e-sign + invoicing lands in 2026. For invoicing in the meantime, connect Stripe directly or use QuickBooks.
Things to watch out for
- · ShootProof's mobile app is well-liked; Chromafolio is mobile-responsive web and native apps are on the roadmap.
- · If tax summaries are critical, keep ShootProof active through tax season and migrate fully after filing.
- · Existing ShootProof print orders should be fulfilled on ShootProof — Chromafolio print store lands in 2026.
